Danny’s Desk: Reaching Women with Life-Affirming Care

In the world of pregnancy care, there are two main sides of the coin: the life-affirming and attentive services of a Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) or the radical, abortion-obsessed Planned Parenthood. A woman who is going through an unexpected pregnancy, or a pregnancy she feels she does not have the support or means to keep, is likely to seek out help from an organization who claims to help with pregnancy care. PRC’s do exactly that; they support women both emotionally and with baby items, prenatal classes, and a variety of services to help women make the choice for life. Planned Parenthood, however, greets women with one option: abortion.

Planned Parenthood falsely claims that they are the “leading provider of high-quality, affordable health care.” The services they champion, however, are anything but health care.

Abortion is not health care.

An abortion is not empowering or easy like the organization says that it is. A 2023 study found that, out of 226 surveyed post-abortive women, 60% would have chosen life if they felt that they had the support to do so. Instead of helping women with their pregnancy and showing them the support they need, Planned Parenthood promotes killing the unborn child as the best way to handle it. This is an egregious disconnect from the help that women should actually be offered.

The over 100 PRC’s in Michigan (which you can find on the RTL website here) are providing true assistance to the women who seek their help. We are proud to promote their services to women and do all we can to elect pro-life legislators and pass laws that will defend and support these centers. Working in tandem with these organizations provides a strong, unified pro-life message to women that they have places to turn to for assistance should they want to make the hopeful and courageous choice for life.
