We feel a great emptiness and darkness spreading over our land. We are very far from God.
At least one pastor has said we no longer fear God. We no longer fear offending Him. We no longer have any regard at all for the 10 Commandments.
There is a very real sense that we are in the process of losing all that we hold dear as Americans and there is a reason for that. It was clearly stated by one of our Founding Fathers:
“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion…Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
This quote is from a letter John Adams wrote to the officers of the Massachusetts First Brigade in October of 1798.
The Americans of 1798 knew of and understood this principle. The Americans of 2024 deny its truth.
Benjamin Franklin once famously replied, “A republic, if you can keep it,” in response to the people asking him what sort of government they would be living under. A Republic requires its citizens to be aware of the issues and to make an informed choice when voting for their representatives who were supposed to work in their best interest.
We are less than 50 days before a General Election which will determine if we can keep our Republic, and if that Republic will honor and defend all its citizens, born and unborn.
Many Churches and Prolife people feel the very real need to beg God’s mercy on our County, encouraging prayers and fasting until the election.
Raymond Cardinal Burke began his prayers for the Nation on February 12th of this year. Also, a 54-day Rosary Novena for the Nation began on September 12th.

Right to Life of Michigan Board of Directors has committed to fast and pray for our country, the cause of life and this election every Friday from now until the election, November 5. Amber Roseboom, President of RLM stated:
“We know this election is critical and, while we do all we can, by the grace of God, we also take comfort in the assurance that true power and authority rests in our Father’s hands. With that in mind, I invite each of you to join us in our prayerful call to the Lord. Please see the prayer below should you wish to join this devotion.”
Prayer for Life
Heavenly Father, You are the giver of ALL life.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of life that You have given us.
Teach us to recognize and honor the sacredness of our lives and the lives of others who are also created in Your image.
Allow Your Holy Spirit to dwell in us so all of our actions and thoughts reflect the holiness of Your indwelling presence.
We ask You to grant wisdom and mercy to our nation.
Give our government leaders the courage to put an end to the funding of all abortion businesses and to work for the protection and promotion of LIFE, rather than for its destruction.
Fit us with the armor of God to stand firm in Your Truth, Righteousness, Readiness, Peace, Faith, and Word.
